For Children entering Kindergaten - 5th Grade

Dear Parents:

Let’s go on a rocky train adventure where Jesus’ power pulls us through!  At Rocky Railway VBS, kids learn that Jesus’ power pulls us through.  Rocky Railway VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste!  Sciency-Fun Gizmos™, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life.
We’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!  Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project that includes supporting an Operation Kid-to-Kid™ project to support efforts to supply “Clean Water” to many around the world who do not have the blessing of clean water as we do.  More info will be shared on Day 1 of our program.

We only have 60 spots available so please register soon!  Spread the word and invite your friends to sign up too.  After May 20, we will publicize our VBS to other churches and schools.  Once BOTH the registration (either paper or online form) AND the payment (cash, check, or online via FaithDirect) are received, you will receive an email from me, stating that your child is registered.  If either piece is missing (registration or payment) a spot cannot be held. Send in your registration form with a check for $40 per child.   Payment can be made through FaithDirect (scroll down and click on "Events at St. Therese Catholic Church" and the VBS payment information will be there) or make checks payable to ‘St. Therese Religious Education’: VBS, St. Therese Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 07876.

What to Wear
Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes (sneakers are best!) and with a labeled water bottle.

Food Allergies
Alert us immediately of any food or other allergies your child has. This is very important as snacks are a part of our program. We can make necessary changes for your child, but we need advance notice. There will be a list of all food items for each day available at the beginning of VBS.

Daily Wrap-Up Celebration
Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us at 4:05 pm each day for our Rocky Wrap-Up Celebration, a daily exploration of Jesus—our rock of foundation!

CLEANING/SANITIZING
We will be cleaning and sanitizing each station every day after VBS, as well as campers and staff, will be sanitizing their hands as they enter the gym, as well as each time they go to a new station, and as they enter the gym for the finale.
