Fr. Richard D. Kilcomons (Fr. Rick) is a native of South Amboy, New Jersey. He attended Sacred Heart Grammar School in South Amboy and the Delbarton School in Mendham, NJ, prior to his family relocating to Orlando, Fl. He graduated from Bishop Moore High School in Orlando on May 25, 1980, and then attended St. Leo College before relocating back to New Jersey.
Fr. Rick received a Bacholar of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, a Masters of Science in Education Degree from St. John's University in NY, and a Masters of Divinity Degree from Immaculate Conception Seminary in South Orange, NJ. He also completed graduate studies in philospohy at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
Fr. Rick was assigned as a Deacon to St. Therese Parish is Succasunna, NJ September 2005.
He was ordained to the priesthood on May 27, 2006. He remained at St. Therese as a Parochial Vicar until he was transfered in June 2008 to St. Virgil Parish in Morris Plains, NJ.
On June 29, 2013, he was assigned Administrator of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Clifton, NJ. On January 25, 2014, he was appointed Pastor of St. Andrews. On April 11, 2019, he was appointed Pastor of St. Therese and took residence on June 13, 2019.
Fr. Rick is a Fourth Degree Knight and has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Clifton, New Jersey Senior Citizen Housing Corporation.
