He entered the Seminary for Priestly Formation in Colombia when he was sixteen years old. He studied Philosophy and Theology, then he left the Seminary in 2013 looking for other opportunities and to discern better his vocation to priesthood.
He came to the United States in 2015 to study English as a Second Language at Rutgers University and to continue his discerment answering to God's Call. He was very hesitant in the begining looking and praying if really God wanted him to come to the USA to be a priest or to better stay in his Country. From August 2016 through May 2017 he went to Holy Apostles College and Seminary for his last year of studies in Theology.
He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Paterson on May 26, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Paterson. From May 2017 to June 2018, He worked as a Transitional Deacon at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Branchville, New Jersey. It was a wonderful experience where he learned a lot about the culture and about the functionality of a parish. He worked there to improved his English, his spirituality and closeness to the people. He learned to see the parish as his own home.
From June 2019 to October 2019, He worked as a Parochial Vicar at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Passaic.
On October 9, 2019, He was assigned to be a Parochial Vicar here at St. Therese.
