Don’t forget to mark your calendars for St Therese Day of Service, October 13, 2018. More details to follow in the coming weeks.
The Day of Service as noted above is on October 13. We will begin working at 8:30 am and finish at 3:00 pm to allow for the 5 pm Saturday Mass. Tasks to be completed are:
• Clean the pews. Over the year as folks hold onto the pew in front of them, the dirt and grim accumulates.
• We have to weed general clean-up and add new mulch around all of the gardens. There are the St Therese, Right-to-Life, St Michael and Padre Pio/St Francis gardens. The Right-to-Life rose bushes need to be cut back and trimmed in order to better see the monument to the Unborn.
• Book repair, there are still a few hymn books that need to be repaired. We have limited supplies for this project, last service day we accomplished a large number of repairs of the hymn books, I have noticed there are some books that could use a little tender loving care.
• Church roof clean-up; get a team up on the roof to clear all the drains and remove all debris.
Sign-up registers for the day of service will be the atrium beginning on 22 and 23 September in the atrium. I hope you can come out spend some time with your fellow parishioners to lend a hand.
Assistance is need from anyone who has a solid working knowledge of audio visual equipment. The carnival committee has donated money to update and improve the audio visual system in the AP Room. I could use the assistance from a knowledgeable individual to help me selected the correct equipment. If you are that person please give me a call or send an email.
If you can or want to help, please email me at [email protected], or call my cell 862-251-0259.
